More GTD experiences
Do you want to learn more about GTD with kids? GTD Times is where you can share more of our experiences and stories. Stuff like why joining the circus improves thinking and concentration. And helps my kids have more fun too. Or how a weekly calender review creates peace of mind – even when we don’t find the calender.
This new blog site will give you the latest on GTD4Kids – more time for fun
Getting homework and the wash done
Every day, gettng the wash done is a GTD process in our household. But I am careful to make the analogy just for myself as father here:
- COLLECT - all the socks and dirty stuff
- PROCESS - sort and colour code everything
- ORGANISE - machine or hand wash? Dryer or hang it up?
- REVIEW - fold or iron, keep it or pass stuff on
- DO - putting it back, one thing at a time!
Whilst a simple thing in itself, doing the wash can awaken to the hidden process activities behind GTD. End results in mind: clean stuff to wear. Delagtion and in itself a semi-automated project. Whilst I still do most of the middle steps, the kids help collect and tidying up.
The process begins again everyday. What shall I wear today?
